Thomas Weaver

Keyboard Studies and Preparatory Theory

WeaverThomas Weaver is a New York-based composer and pianist whose active solo and chamber career has included performances in Chicago, Boston, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Tanglewood, and Germany. He has collaborated with such artists as Kenneth Radnofsky, Eric Ruske, Jennifer Bill, and Klaudia Szlachta, as well as members of major symphony orchestras.

Mr. Weaver’s compositions have been heard throughout the United States and Germany. His music has been programmed by the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Alea III, and the Mannes American Composers Ensemble, among others.

Mr. Weaver holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance and composition from Mannes College, studying with Victor Rosenbaum and David Loeb. He also attended Boston University, studying piano with Anthony di Bonaventura and Pavel Nersessian and composition with Martin Amlin and Dr. John Wallace. A staff pianist at Mannes College, he joined the Curtis Institute of Music faculty in 2015.
